Mr. Smith Goes to Delhi

In Chris Smith’s world, it’s all about where you plant your pole. This month, the 27-year-old Springfield Township native and UC grad will pole-vault for Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India. Smith—whose father and grandfather are Jamaican citizens—obtained dual citizenship last February and hopes to represent Jamaica in the 2012 Olympics.
Smith breaks the city record as a Princeton High School senior.
